CentraNews inks are the result of the latest technology in equipment, processing and raw material design. Our development and manufacturing of varnishes, and pigments allows us to create a truly new standard in news and coldset inks. These inks exhibit superior performance to meet the challenges our customers face in achieving the quality and productivity demanded by today's ever-changing market.
Our research, development and the total integration of key raw materials into our manufacturing processes, allow us the ability to create and manufacture an uncompromising product in all its aspects. CentraNews inks exhibit exceptional characteristics in transfer, reduced misting, ink/water balance, ruboff, smooth lay down and page-to-page setoff under the extreme conditions of today's demanding high speed press and inking designs.
CentraNews inks are environmentally sound and low in Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), emissions. CentraNews inks satisfy the color, shade, hue and grayness requirements set forth by NAA and SNAP specifications. Our process control capabilities ensure total batch-to-batch consistency and performance of all our product series.
CentraNews & CentraSoy Color Ink Series
CentraNews color inks are available in a soy version and a "labeled" soy version that meets the American Soybean Association (ASA), requirements for soybean oil content. Both series are available in the following approved levels:

CentraNews Vintage Black:
CentraNews Vintage Black ink is formulated to have low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), emissions with standard "rub-off" characteristics that exceed any other standard black in the industry. All CentraNews and CentraSoy Blacks exhibit fast plate cleanup, a smooth laydown, and leave the pipe rollers virtually clean.
CentraNews Insignia Black:
Insignia black ink has enhanced "low-rub" characteristics with low VOC emissions, producing a superior enhanced "low-rub" ink with excellent press performance characteristics. CentraNews Insignia is truly an innovative product that challenges the competition to be better.
CentraNews Signature Black:
Signature black ink has "no-rub" characteristics with low VOC emissions, producing a superior "no-rub" ink with excellent press performance characteristics. CentraNews Signature is in a class by itself.
CentraSoy Vintage Black:
CentraSoy Vintage black ink has excellent press characteristics and because it is manufactured utilizing soybean-based oils, it reduces VOC emissions while demonstrating excellent rub characteristics.
CentraSoy Insignia Black:
CentraSoy Insignia black ink is manufactured with the American Soybean Association (ASA), requirement of soybean-based oil content, which dramatically reduces VOC emissions, while demonstrating excellent rub characteristics. CentraSoy Insignia carries the ASA label and is like no other ink offered in its classification.
CentraSoy Signature Black:
CentraSoy Signature black ink is manufactured solely with soybeanbased oils and exceeds the American Soybean Association (ASA), requirements for soybean-base oil content. It emits virtually no VOC emissions, while demonstrating excellent rub characteristics. CentraSoy Signature carries the ASA label and is exceedingly high in its qualities within its classification.
